Super moist chocolate chip banana bread with tender, dense texture and rich banana flavor. Loaded with semi-sweet chocolate chips for a perfect sweet treat.

  • 1 1/2 cups (180g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
  • 1/4 cup (60mL) vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (360g) mashed ripe bananas (34 medium)
  • 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, combine butter, oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix in mashed bananas.
  4. Add dry ingredients and chocolate chips to wet mixture; mix until just combined, careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake 50–60 minutes, until a skewer inserted in center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Cool bread in pan until slightly warm or room temperature before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Ensure not to overmix to maintain a tender texture.
  • Can use parchment paper overhang for easier removal.
