One-Pot Creamy Spicy Cajun Sausage Pasta is a hearty, flavorful dish combining smoky sausage, tender penne, and a rich Cajun-spiced sauce, all cooked in one pot for convenience.

  • 1 lb smoked sausage
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese for garnish
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Sauté sliced sausage, onion, and bell pepper until browned, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook 1 more minute.
  4. Add diced tomatoes, chicken broth, heavy cream, Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil.
  5. Stir in uncooked penne pasta, reduce heat, and simmer 10–12 minutes until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
