This easy Ravioli Lasagna is a hearty, comforting baked dish that layers cheese ravioli with rich meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and melted mozzarella for a shortcut lasagna the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (85/15 recommended)
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
  • 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Brown beef with onion and garlic until cooked, then drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in seasoning, salt, pepper, and spaghetti sauce. Simmer 5 minutes.
  4. Mix ricotta, egg, 1 cup mozzarella, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in baking dish.
  6. Add half the frozen ravioli in a layer.
  7. Spread ricotta mixture over ravioli.
  8. Add half the remaining meat sauce.
  9. Add remaining ravioli.
  10. Top with remaining sauce.
  11. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  12. Cover with foil (sprayed) and bake 40 minutes.
  13. Uncover and bake 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  14. Rest 10 minutes before serving and garnish if desired.

Notes

  • Can be assembled up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerated.
  • Freezes well for up to 3 months.
  • Leftovers keep in fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat covered in oven or microwave.
