  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided

Instructions

  1. Whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt into a smooth custard.
  2. Separate Hawaiian rolls and dip each into custard, coating all sides for 15–20 seconds.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook soaked rolls 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Repeat with remaining rolls using remaining butter.
