Creamy Pea Salad with Dill is a fresh, flavorful side dish featuring crisp peas coated in a creamy horseradish-mustard dressing, highlighted with fresh dill. Perfect for gatherings or as a chilled summer salad.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups peas (preferably Birds Eye)
  • 1/2 cup fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 tbsp prepared horseradish
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, horseradish, Dijon mustard, and garlic powder until smooth. Season with pepper and fold in dill, reserving 2 tbsp for garnish.
  2. Thaw frozen peas completely and pat dry. Transfer to a large bowl.
  3. Pour dressing over peas and fold gently to coat evenly.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and top with reserved dill. Refrigerate at least 2 hours (or up to 24 hours) to meld flavors.

Notes

  • Ensure peas are dry to prevent watery salad.
  • The longer it chills, the stronger the horseradish flavor develops.
  • Best served cold as a side dish.
