  • 1 packet French onion soup mix

  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and cook slowly for 12–15 minutes until caramelized and golden brown.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  5. Drain excess grease if needed.
  6. Stir in French onion soup mix until well combined.
  7. Pour in Worcestershire sauce and beef broth, then simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  8. Keep mashed potatoes warm and prepared.
  9. Spoon mashed potatoes into bowls and top with beef onion gravy.
  10. Sprinkle mozzarella on top so it melts from the heat.
